Hello, I’m Yu Jie!
A senior student in Mechanical Engineering.
I’m passionate about Human-Robot Interaction, especially in creating robots that support human values and assist people with disabilities. My focus is on designing robots that can enhance daily life by providing practical support, particularly for those with physical or cognitive challenges. I aim to integrate intelligent systems into robots to improve their ability to understand and respond to human needs.
I am actively involved in volunteer work with communities of diverse ethnicities and cultures.
My experience has taught me the importance of human factors, cultural sensitivity, and sustainable implementation.
Through the Xinjiang Education Aid Program, I worked on initiatives in underprivileged areas, including supporting elderly care, tutoring children, and assisting disabled oil field workers.

I’m passionate about outdoor activities like hiking, mountain climbing, and skiing.
I enjoy reading works such as Half a Lifetime Romance by Zhang Ailing, Notes from Underground by Dostoevsky, and philosophical texts by Hermann Hesse, along with Fernando Pessoa's poetry and Borges.
I also have a strong interest in music, especially rock and R&B, and I play a bit of guitar. Additionally, Drama!
In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, including pottery, oil painting and I am also skilled in tea ceremonies!
I enjoy using photography to capture and document my life and experiences.
